Mayor William Glacken is the Mayor of Freeport, New York. Mayor Glacken is an active member of The United States Conference of Mayors, and he has spearheaded many major community development projects including a new nursing facility for the village of Freeport. Additionally, Mayor Glacken drafted and implemented laws and zoning regulations to preserve the Freeport waterfront and landmarks. Mayor Glacken is a third generation Freeport resident, who has devoted his life to ensuring that all Freeport residents can enjoy a cohesive community made up of a culturally diverse population. |
Mayor Judith Valles is the Mayor of San Bernardino, California. Since taking office, Mayor Valles has made impressive strides in the revitalization of San Bernardino as the east valley's catalyst for tourism and development in the Inland Empire region of California. Mayor Valles has embarked on many major development initiatives including the renovation of the historic Santa Fe Depot, San Bernardino International Airport, California Theater of Performing Arts, and a citywide Lakes and Streams urban revitalization program. In the year 2000, Mayor Valles was voted Outsanding Public Official of the Inland Empire by the American Society of Pulbic Administratiors. |
